  1. Very saddened to read this. Thank you Cooper for letting everyone know.
  2. The Keg is a nice restaurant in old Montreal. On St Catherine there are several places to grab a bit that are good. I would recommend the Saloon and Piazetta. Stock is awesome place to visit, can't recommend it enough. Campus seems to have gone down hill over the past few years...very hit or miss. Wonderful weather and if the street is still blocked very festive.
  3. Nice Post...I was there two weeks ago. Great weather and pretty much spot on, on your assessment of the two clubs there. Thanks for your update...I won't have to write mine now.
  4. Yes it is SAD! I guess therapy sessions are out of the question. So looking forward to my next trip. I have never taken a lot of stock in the minority opinions when it comes to reviews. Going the weekend after pride so I hope to see some lingering folks. If not I am sure I will still enjoy all of the eclectic, eccentric, evolution of the Gay Village.
  5. I concur with tassojunior. The key is location, good management, and programming (talent). Build it off these principals and they will cum....err come.
  6. Well, thank you. I have taken your advice and booked another trip for next month.
  7. Well....I am not rewriting anything. I wrote from my personal experience. I am not sure where you visited or the reviewers as "dump", "neglected", "abandoned" or "dirty" definitely are not words I would use to describe it. Yes, there are junkies and homeless people there but once can find that almost anywhere. Maybe your observation('s) are more a reflection of you than of the Gay Village. Just my thoughts.
  8. I have been to the Gay Village many times at all times during the year. It has an eclectic feel to it, energetic, vivacious and all around just a lot of fun. Not sure what the reviewer was looking at, but it always puts a smile on my face to walk down the center of St Catherine or to set outside at one of the restaurant's outdoor seating areas and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the street. Sad that he saw it that way. Viva St Catherine and the Gay Village!
  9. I have seen them on several different nights...it's not a take off your shirt your in type thing. They have to actually perform two songs on stage.
  10. I have seen many an audition there as well. And also concur about referrals from dancers already there.
  11. I am not sure who James and John are....but there are many fine and "talented" dancers there. Also...summer tends to bring out even more so you will be going at a great time.
  12. Guys....No Risk-No Gain. I seriously doubt if the guys who work the clubs want their business all over the place unless they start putting ads out. In my opinion, it just cheapens the experience all the way around. Just my 2 cents worth.
