This is a long story and I need to ask everybody's advice. I got sick twice this year with cold and flu symptoms. I am older and it is VERY rare for me to catch a cold. I had the flu shot last October and assume I couldn't get flu. The first time I got sick was in late February. I had a meeting with someone at work that had just come back from overseas travel, and changed planes at the Tokyo airport. This person was sick when I met them with cough and fever. I got a cough and fever a few days later, it lasted a week, I didn't think much about it at the time and did NOT seek out testing. I also got a cough and fever in mid-March, I think from someone I know at a local gym. Same thing, I did NOT get testing since I never got more than a mild cough and maybe one fever chill. The antibody test just came out in the area where I live. I was thinking about getting it. There are pluses and minuses: Plus - If positive I wouldn't be worried about catching it. I could do whatever I want in my personal life. Minus -if positive I would be worried my employer could find out. I have no idea how the employer would react. What should I do?

The original question is "when will you hire again". The short answer is: not for a long time. I work in a municipality that is heavily tourism dependent. Tourism has been crushed and there are heavy economic losses here. It will not come back anytime soon. So far my employer is doing OK, I still have a job, but I am worried about all the economic ramifications of the pandemic. I am worried about getting laid off later this year. I am cutting all unnecessary expenses, and saving every penny I can as a "rainy day fund" in case I get laid off. I do NOT think the US economy will have a V-shaped recovery. I think the recovery will be long, slow and grinding. I am guessing that there are many more people like me, who will either choose or be forced to cut all discretionary spending. Is there anyone else in my predicament? I assume there must be large numbers of other people who will NOT hire until the economy comes back and there is more job security.

I was supposed to go on a business trip to Atlanta in April this year. I was planning an after hours meeting with ConnorStevens. I sent him a check for $200 to prepay for one hour. I think the 2-3% condom failure rate quoted is for vaginal sex (the main purpose for these condoms, hence the failure rate that is quoted in the literature). My understanding is the condom failure rate for anal sex is 5 - 10 %. To calculate the odds of the bad outcome you have to multiple the probability of all the failures that lead to the bad outcome: 5% condom failure rate x 4% PREP failure rate x .65% rate of transmission = about 1 in 77,000. I am a newbie to hiring, but I read large numbers of posts on this message board before starting off. It was my understanding from reading these boards that almost all hiring is last-minute (i.e. phone calls made the same day as the hiring). Somebody correct me if I am wrong. If this worked for one escort why should it not work for the other? I work in a local Public Health lab (but not the STD clinic). I just want to second everything that has been said before: 1. Most people with STD's are asymptomatic. You may not see warts, rashes, etc. but you can still catch the disease. 2. STD's are not a joke. Before antibiotics were invented syphilis was considered a progressive, potentially fatal disease. There have been case reports of people dying from gonorrhea (in very rare cases it spreads to the blood). 3. Every STD clinic will tell you to always wear protection. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Just my 2 cents worth
