  1. It's really not that serious. I'm free to give my opinions here - isn't that the point of this forum? Feel free to take my opinion with a grain of salt, it doesn't affect me either way. Now, if you want to get back on topic andask me who I'd recommend instead, I'd be happy to answer.
  2. Absolutely, with the caveat that I'm not interested in "extras" so I can't really speak to that with any of them - will message you directly. Different strokes for different folks my guy, just because I didn't like your technique doesn't mean other people shouldn't. I was merely voicing my opinion, and didn't say anything bad about you.
  3. Everyone says Blessings is great, but I tried him once and would not go back - maybe it was an off day? I'm a big guy and it's hard for me to find someone who can give strong and consistent pressure, but he is not even in the top 20 best masseurs I've tried in NYC over the years.
  4. He did not, but only because I asked him to spend the entire two hours on my back / glutes. Left the session with dramatically increased range of motion and big decrease in tightness and pain. He's really great!
  5. TheUpgrader on RentMasseur RENTMASSEUR.COM View my profile on RentMasseur.com I don't say this lightly - I'm a big guy and a serious bodybuilder, but Jhonathan is legitimately the best therapeutic massage I've ever had. It's rare that I find someone strong enough for me, let alone someone strong enough who's a professional and knows what they're doing. He's in NYC until Wednesday and said he'd be back more often if he can get a decent base of clients here, so if you're looking for incredible, intuitive, deep tissue therapeutic work, try to see him before he leaves. I'm doing this for purely selfish reasons so he'll be back more often 🤣
  6. It seems sketch and problematic to me - I'm not super active on any social media sites but shared them anyway along with my phone number and email, and to simply not reply when someone provides personal information like that is a red flag. You can "weed out" clients with a phone call or even by asking for pictures, but then, why even bother advertising to the general public?
  7. Did the same and he never replied. Seems sketchy.
  8. Yeah, STAY AWAY from this dude. Seriously. I contacted him to schedule via text and he went absolutely nuts, even moreso when I said I wasn't interested in getting a massage with him. Texted me for weeks after, saying the most off the wall stuff FROM MULTIPLE NUMBERS, called and left rambling, insane, insulting voice mails... So glad I saw this thread and it's oddly comforting to know I wasn't the only one.
  9. Jason has to be one of the best deep tissue / therapeutic massages I've ever had, and I'm incredibly hard to please. Wasn't looking for extras so can't speak to that, but he's a nice guy, very skilled, and will definitely make him my new go-to for legit massage work.
  10. No need for the snark, it's not constructive. I'm well aware of how poorly the search function works, and also that it's a holiday. Thanks for your help though.
  11. Any recommendations? I know there has to be skilled masseurs in Chicago
  12. I'll be in Chicago until September, was wondering if anyone can recommend a few masseurs here? Most important thing is someone strong enough for genuine, consistent deep tissue work. Thanks dudes!
  13. Will be based in Grand Rapids for a few months for work - anyone in the area worth seeing?
  14. Yeah, I've never pursued anything "extra" with anyone listed, which often leads to a longer massage and a better vibe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
