Adding another data point. I get tested for everything every 3-4 months - view it as a responsibility to myself. I have asked my doctor to include testing for HSV1 - she won't do it - says majority of people carry the virus, the test is not sensitive enough to make a 100% accurate prediction, and especially if you show no symptons and the test comes back negative, that still does not mean you might not have the virus. I asked another clinic the same and got a similar response. Also, regarding HPV - also asked to be tested and get vaccine. Doctor also did not recommend test and she wouldn't give me the vaccine since I am over 30 yrs old. She said it wouldn't make any difference and won't have any effect at my age (48). Just some other data points to offer. Not countering/arguing any other person's perspective.

During recent business trip to Chicago, I was really interested in spending time with Parker Allen. https://rent.men/ParkerAllen Received prompt response and availability to set up an evening meeting, but I noticed several of the text replies contained an interchange of "we" and "I" which I found odd. Also, "they" or "he" asked for a 10% deposit. This was the first time I've been asked to make a deposit. So I politely declined. Text reply was that he would still keep option open but needed a deposit before meeting. I let it go. Later on (after I arrived in Chicago after several flight delays) I received another text asking if there was still interest to hold time. I replied no and perhaps another time, as I already said I'm not making a deposit. I received what seemed to be an irate text back - "this is exactly why I require deposits because men cancel". What? I never agreed to a deposit so didn't expect him to hold any time. Unfortunate exchange, but perhaps just miscommunication. I still am attracted to his profile, and would love to meet him. Has anyone else had experiences with deposits, and are there any guidelines to know what seems legitimate vs scam?

I really don't get straight men advertising on RM for gay men. What is the draw of gay men to have an encounter with a man who wants limited if any contact? There are plenty of beautiful, well developed gay men who would likely allow a similar experience? What am I missing about the attraction and appeal in hiring straight men (those that limit physical contact to minimal to none)?

Is your question from a point of view of the preference a client chooses when he selects, or in general? In terms of my experience, during the last year or so, I have yet to have a great experience with an escort as a top. I agree with the previous post, those who enjoy bottoming also tend to know really how to be great tops. I'm still holding out for a great experience, but now I tend to just select those who bottom as I know it will be an enjoyable experience, and I won't leave in pain.
