  1. I'm curious how the night went? The last time I was there they had maybe four male dancers and one woman, and there was a curtained-off area in the corner where dancers could do lap dances. I think the fact that the club was not very busy helped make it a pretty chill atmosphere.
  2. Oy, I meant to say Club Lucky Horseshoe in Chicago. Boxers in Briefs was in a different part of Illinois, and I must've gotten the names confused.
  3. I'm wondering if it would be useful to create a master list of clubs and bars in the U.S. that have male dancers who do lap dances inside the club. Not a list of places with nude male strippers, since the number of those establishments is dwindling, and not a list of clubs that just have gogo dancers standing on boxes, but a list of clubs where you can take a gogo dancer to a private, semiprivate, or even public area to buy a lap dance. Here are some examples: Phoenix - Karamba Nightclub - "Flesh" Male Revue - the club allows dancers to do lap dances in a separate curtained-off area. Chicago - Boxers n Briefs - the club has gogo dancers in their underwear who are able to give lap dances on some nights in the rear bar. Atlanta - BJ Roosters - the bar has dancers in their underwear who dance on the bar, and they also have some private rooms for lap dances. Are there other cities that have non-strip clubs that still have lap dances? What are the hidden gems?
  4. I'm curious how many bars and clubs in U.S. cities have nights scheduled where local guys can audition to be gogo dancers or strippers while patrons are in the venue. In Portland, for example, at Silverado guys can show up on Monday nights at 8:00pm and then start dancing in rotation at 9:00pm, and customers can come tip them and get lap dances. At Stag, on Tuesday nights, it's the same deal, a guy can show up at 8 to "audition" at 9pm while the club is open. (The web site says proof of age 21+ and COVID vaccination required). In my experience, the auditioners weren't always as polished as professional dancers, and they didn't always have "the look," but it was a nice chill night and it was fun to go and be encouraging sometimes. Back in the day, Boxers n Briefs in St. Louis used to do auditions on Sunday nights during their drag show. New guys who came to audition weren't necessarily expected to dance the whole night, but I think they'd dance and strip to two songs. I'm curious how many other cities have something similar?
  5. This turned out to be really great advice. Dancers from Wild Men of the West perform at several Phoenix clubs on different nights of the week, and at a few venues (Karamba on Thurs, Cruisin' 7th and Anvil on Sat) they did lap dances in a semiprivate area.
  6. In this scenario, am I met by a security guard who looks like John Candy at the abandoned Dick's building in the industrial park, where I then, in a fit of temporary insanity, force him to let me inside the closed club and dance on the pole for me? Because I feel like I shouldn't do that again.
  7. Thank you so much! That's exactly the kind of info I needed. When life gives you lemons...
  8. Imagine you booked a quick trip to Phoenix. You checked some Yelp reviews for the (in)famous gay strip club Dick's Cabaret. You got a great deal on a nonrefundable plane ticket, and a good deal on a nonrefundable hotel room. Then, two days later, you found out Dick's had close. Perhaps for good, but even if it really is "moving," it probably won't reopen in time for your trip. Are there any OTHER places in Phoenix for a fan of male dancers? Are there maybe gay bars with gogo boys, or maybe a straight strip club that has men one night a week? What would you do if you were looking forward to a strip club and it closed right before your trip?
  9. There are no gay strip clubs in the city of Los Angeles. (There’s a club night called Adonis LA on weekends that has clothed dancers, but not on Monday.) There are sometimes gogo dancers at clubs in West Hollywood or downtown, but I’m not aware of a place that would have dancers on a Monday. (You might try calling New Jalisco Bar in downtown, or Mickys in WeHo.) Maybe someone else has better intel.
  10. Does anyone have an update on Chicago’s Lucky Horseshoe Lounge?
  11. X-Room was open last weekend. There were at least 12-15 dancers on Friday and Saturday. A diverse group of dancers; several tatted rough-looking guys, a couple twinks, 1-2 “college” types, and a couple of older/chubby guys. My take is that, unless you’re incredibly open-minded, you won’t be into every single dancer there, but you’re likely to find at least 1-2 who are to your liking. Dancers got up on the bar and walked around or used one of several poles on the bar. Several drinks got kicked off the bar while I was there. Very few of the dancers actually get naked while they’re in public, but most seemed willing to show off for a decent tip. The private area seems to have changed, and is now only semiprivate. You’re in a shared space in the back behind a beaded curtain.
  12. Can I ask which sites? I haven’t seen this yet, but it makes sense.
  13. While I’m sure there are no actual male strip clubs, I know there are at least a couple of gay bars in these states. I’m curious if anyone’s aware of an establishment that has male dancers, ever?
  14. Another great experience- the first time I visited Atlanta, around 2012, I went to Swinging Richards on a weeknight and saw this lean young guy sitting at the edge of the room with his clothes on. I thought he was a patron or tourist, so imagine my delight when he got up onstage and I recognized him as Jagger from Chaosmen, a porn performer I’d had a huge crush on. He was a genuinely sweet guy, and fun to talk to. And because it was a slow night, I was able to spend quite a bit of time with him, in the club and in the VIP area.
