  1. I said "A great number of people "hate their job" and it shows." This does not mean everyone - of course there is the exception to the rule. You are one of the people who are not included in the "great number" -
  2. Isn't that the thought process by many professions? Be it doctor, lawyer, bakerman or any profession, it is just the way many people look upon making money. A great number of people "hate their job" and it shows. The job haters are not just isolated to escorts. Have you been on an airplane lately with rude and/or surly flight attendants? There is a perfect example of a worker being pleased when they walk out the door of the aircraft. -
  3. If you go to Google, and enter Markus Patrick, you will see the same person as shown in the photos of the Backpage ad.. However, the photos are not current. Google has a bio on Markus Patrick along with current photos. Clearly, the currrent photos show a 40 year old man, not a 25 year old man as stated in the ad. There is a 15 year age discrepancy in the ad versus the biography - Come on - 15 years difference in age and it is the same person?. Furthermore, the bio says that the real Marcus Patrick is an English actor and is age 40 years old. Check it out. - Based on the links to videos, it appears that the real gentleman is, indeed, a go go boy as you stated. However, the 15 year age difference in the ad versus the actual age is too far off to consider the ad legitimate. Here is a bio on Markus Patrick, the 40 year old English actor - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcus_Patrick If it really is the same person (factoring in the false claim in the ad of age 25), I am rather surprised. But, thanks for the links. -
  4. The ad is fake. The photos are more than 15 years old. They belong to a 40 year old English actor named Markus Patrick. I am confident that the actor did not post the stupid ad or knows nothing about the ad's existence. Google the images and you will see that the photos are bogus. Wait a minute, you said you know that he is a go go boy in LA. Where in the world did you get that? A 40 year old English actor is a go go boy in LA? Quite funny.
  5. "Unless you have something productive, that makes sense, to add to the material I presented about Spanish saunas and a hustler bar in Madrid, please do not add more of your suggestions to this thread. Thank you." There you go again, Axiom! What do you have against the owner of this forum? I don't think he has done anything to justify your putting him at risk by your repeatedly using his forum to encourage Americans to violate federal laws against unlicensed and unsupervised travel to Cuba. If any American follows your advice and is caught unlawfully visiting Cuba, all the American has to say is that he learned how to skirt the rules from postings that are found in this forum, and, specifically from you. I asked you nicely not to add any more of your suggestions to my thread unless you add something productive. Not only did you ignore my request, you hijacked my thread and posted more nonsense including more false information about Cuba travel. You recently boasted in this forum, the fact that you made more than nine thousand posts. Although the QUANTITY (nine thousand posts) is a high number, the QUALITY of your nine thousand posts is tiny compared to the total quantity of posts. In other words, the majority of your posts is little more than nonsensical dribble, including your encouraging Americans to violate federal laws with respect to visiting Cuba. I would like very much to travel to Cuba for tourism. However, United States federal laws make it illegal for me to do so unless I am willing to be part of an approved licensed supervised tour. I have rejected going to Cuba because of the severe restrictions placed on Americans who visit there. I do not want to be supervised and told where I can and cannot go while on there. You previously bragged about traveling to Cuba via Canada. You also claimed that you are soon again going to Cuba, legally, with a licensed supervised tour group. To quote one of your recent posts, you stated "Early next year I hope to be in Habana, Cuba. While there I plan to meet some of its hot, big dicked men." Let me assure you, if you travel to Cuba (as an American) you will not be permitted to go off on your own unsupervised. In fact, you will not even be allowed (legally) to go to the beach alone or unsupervised. That is how restrictive laws are with respect to Americans visiting Cuba. The fact that a private (for profit) company told you that it has a license for Americans to travel to Cuba, the license is self-serving because the license is not approved by the U.S. State Department. I have seen copies of these so called "licenses" which were produced solely as a sales and marketing tool for Americans who wish to unlawfully travel to Cuba. Those "licences do not conform to the requirements as set forth by the U.S. State Department with respect to Americans visiting Cuba. I previously posted citations in connection with restrictions against Americans visiting Cuba. You choose to ignore those citations. I will post them here again for those who might doubt the severe restrictions against Americans visiting Cuba. "This forum is primarily to assist each other with helpful information. However, you posted information to this forum that was false and misleading. If Americans followed your advice of traveling to Cuba, unsupervised, via a booking through Canada, they could get into serious trouble with the federal government, if caught. Contrary to what you posted, Americans CANNOT freely go to Cuba as a tourist. Americans can visit Cuba provided the American is a part of a licensed and SUPERVISED tour group. The supervision would not provide for visiting with escorts, as you implied. See this inset from U.S. news quoting U.S. laws - http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/...cation-in-cuba : “In contrast the meaningful contact trips are legal ways for Americans to travel to Cuba and even get a direct flight from the U.S. to Havana. The catch with these trips is that Americans have to keep a schedule assigned by the group they travel with, they have a tour guide follow them on the entire trip, and people can’t simply break the agenda to visit Cuba’s Varadero Beach, says Chris Sabatini, senior director of policy for Council of the Americas.” “Many Americans do travel illegally to Cuba.” See this article: http://gocaribbean.about.com/od/cuba...n-American.htm I would think the last thing you would do is admit, on a public bulletin board, that you plan to violate (and previously violated) laws with respect to the prohibition of Americans visiting Cuba, unsupervised, as a tourist. If you really believe that contradicting false advice (that could land other innocent Americans in jail) is “hijacking” then I suggest you reassess your beliefs. This message forum is very popular with a certain sector of society. We are here to accurately exchange ideas and suggestions and sometimes help each other. I am confident that the forum owners would not want to have information posted to the forum that could get readers into serious trouble, if followed." - This forum is a great place to exchange ideas. Most of the time members of the forum learn from other members. Unfortunately, every now and again, inaccurate information (such as yours) is presented in the forum. Usually, the inaccurate information is harmless and can be ignored. However, in your case, your information can get people into serious trouble with the United States government. This forum is subject to various federal (and state) laws. It would be tragic if the forum owner(s) had to spend time and money defending against a government charge demanding to know why you were repeatedly allowed to use this forum to encourage other forum members to violate United States federal laws that prohibit American citizens from freely visiting Cuba for tourism, unsupervised and with an APPROVED license. I like this forum. I do not want your foolish postings to be a source of the forum being closed or the owner being penalized by having to spend time and money defending your outlandish posts that encourage Americans to violate U.S. laws. I am sorry that I had to be so harsh. I have tried many times to reason with you but you persist with your attempting to get other Americans to follow your unlawful decision to ignore federal laws that prohibit Americans to travel to Cuba except via a legally licensed and supervised tour. One final thought - this forum, is read by many people. You have already admitted in this forum to have gone through Canada to escape detection of your visit to Cuba. If an employee from the State Department reads your foolish bragging, you just might find a subpoena issued to the forum for identification of who you are. Information about you will have to be disclosed from the forum servers. For your own sake, I really wish you would recant your posts regarding Cuba and stop further discussion concerning the supposed upcoming Cuba trip that you have scheduled. Edit - Here is an updared U S News article - the previous citation expired - http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2014/07/02/how-americans-can-vacation-in-cuba Notice this critical requirement from the article: In contrast the "meaningful contact trips" are legal ways for Americans to travel to Cuba and even get a direct flight from the U.S. to Havana. The catch with these trips is that Americans have to keep a schedule assigned by the group they travel with, they have a tour guide follow them on the entire trip, and people can’t simply break the agenda to visit Cuba’s Varadero Beach, says Chris Sabatini, senior director of policy for Council of the Americas.
  6. Your post doesn't make sense. I had no questions; the person who made the post had a question that was not clear. You misread this thread and the question from the latest poster. This thread discussed many various items (garotos, places, cities, saunas and a hustler bar). It would serve no purpose for me to take your suggestion and attempt to guess what the question asks then write a lot of meaningless thoughts about what the poster might have meant. Your suggestion that I should "cite the answers to your own questions" is totally off the charts and indicates you did not read the thread. I am not the one with the questions. The question came from the other poster. Unless you have something productive, that makes sense, to add to the material I presented about Spanish saunas and a hustler bar in Madrid, please do not add more of your suggestions to this thread. Thank you. -
  7. Rate to enter the sauna in Madrid? Rate to make purchases at Black & White? Rate for the rent boys in the sauna in Barcelona? Rate for the rent boys in the sauna in Madrid? What "rate" for what? Your question is not clear, as asked. -
  8. In a word - yes. However, I have never yielded to the temptation to go off with a hustler in a private facility at the club even though I was asked many times. What I chose to do was take the hustler back to my hotel. I took only hustlers that made me feel comfortable and with whom I could communicate without feeling intimidated. I never had a bad experience with anyone from the Black and White, and there were plenty. There may be "one hour" hotels near the area but I have never used them. I will ask about this possibility while I am in Madrid. I will be returning to Barcelona and Madrid in a couple of weeks, prior to my return to Brazil in November. During my Madrid trip, I will check around the Black and White and ask more questions concerning on premises facilities. Here is another link about the Black and White bar. The reviews are not complimentary but each person has his or her opinion. http://madrid.gaycities.com/bars/1583-black-white#reviews Here is an excerpt from a review written by a Black and White bar patron: "We went in not knowing it was a "market". Noticed 20-25 young guys on ground floor, friendlier than you would expect. Realized what it was: lots of illegal Brazilian and eastern European immigrants for rent. We left, talked about it, then came back--took home a Romanian handsome 29 yo who was pretty fun. 100Euro for the two of us. He didn't seem to feel exploited. Saw him 2 days later out shopping and he was nice to us. The drag show was OK. Dance floor small. Drinks expensive. But, the market was good." Now you have a better idea about the place. -
  9. - Thanks for your report about your experience and opinion of the Barcelona sauna that I discussed. I am pleased that you enjoyed the place as much as I did and still do. As to your falling “in love” with a stunning man from Brazil” Over time, I learned that it is not unusual to get emotionally attached to Brazilian escorts, particularly if you are compatible with said person and have spent a fair amount of time together. There is something special about Brazilians that many cultures seem to lack. Although you might view your feelings as “love” I suspect that you are infatuated solely because you had a lot of interaction with the escort and the escort has a lot of charm. If the escort is returning to Brazil in December, your going to Brazil to see him might help you better evaluate your feelings for the man. The language barrier between the two of you makes planning for your meeting up in Brazil awkward, but not impossible. I assume that you have the escort's e-mail address and/or Brazil telephone number. If so, you can communicate with him via e-mail using google translator or you can communicate with him on the telephone with the help of a Brazilian friend that you might know who speaks English and Portuguese. Where there is a will, there is a way. You do understand, that many Brazilians are exceedingly charming and that it is easy to form an attachment to them. Just be careful about getting attached too quickly. I stupidly did that a few times in my early days of visiting Brazil only to find that infatuations can be fun but very expensive. By the way, I agree with you about the sauna Adan, in Madrid. It is a sauna but it is not an exciting sauna. I personally do not like the way it is run. The worst part of visiting that sauna is the rude queeny-like employees who think that they are more important than they really are. While in Madrid, there is a great evening hustler bar that has never disappointed me. The name of the bar is called “Black and While” which has too many gorgeous hustlers to count. Here is a link to its web site: http://www.nighttours.com/madrid/gayguide/black-white.html -
  10. Here is a link to a few comments about the sauna and some photos of the interior of Sauna Thermas in Barcelona - http://www.barcelona.com/barcelona_directory/gay_barcelona/saunas/sauna_thermas -
  11. You said that you were at the thermas for "45 minutes feeling quite comfortable" until a "DEMAND" was made on you to comply with the dress code of the thermas. Your use of the words, "feeling quite comfortable" indicates that you enjoyed the sauna until you were advised of the dress code at the thermas. Following this, the thermas became "unwelcoming" and "a total let down" for you. There is an old proverb that states "While in Rome, do as the Romans do." In that regard, the thermas owners make rules just as the owners of this message-forum make rules. We, as users of the thermas (or users of this forum), must abide by those rules or we are blocked from participation. However, on occasion, rules are modified or ignored. Sauna Thermas "rules" are broken every hour of every day at the thermas. This statement is confirmed by the fact of (posted prominently on the thermas wall) a large sign prohibiting prostitution. Anyone, including (but not limited to) the thermas owners, the clients and the rent boys knows that the thermas is a well known hustler (prostitution) thermas. Therefore, there is one "rule" that is laughably ignored. In other words, rules are selectively enforced at the thermas, including dress code rules. Had you gone to the front desk and asked permission to dress as you said you were dressed, I am confident that you would have been allowed to remain in the sauna without complying with the dress code. I have seen that happen on many occasions. Moreover, in the past, when it was wintertime and the thermas was not adequately heated, I personally left on my t-shirt and had absolutely no problem from thermas employees. I suspect that you had a language problem or issue with respect to your receiving a "DEMAND" to comply with the flexible dress code of the thermas. I cannot imagine your being told to leave the sauna over what you described. You most likely left on your own accord because you felt the sauna was "unwelcoming" as you stated. Quite franky, you did not handle the situation correctly. -
  12. Hi sydneyboy - You are not being contrary. You have certain likes and preferences that you expressed. Your concerns are reasonable. I agree with some of your assessments. For example, like you, I don't smoke and I do not like the fact that smoking is allowed in the Barcelona thermas. At the same time, I recall that smoking was permitted in the Brazilian saunas until approximately two years ago and everything in Brazil went well, despite the smoke. I tolerate the smoke in Barcelona because smoking is just part of being at the thermas (as it was for many years in Brazil). The "layout" of the Barcelona thermas is different in that the "cruising" floor is awfully dark in most spaces. This can be "creepy" as you wrote. However, all one needs do is walk to a different area of that floor or go down one flight of stairs where there is a very nice lighted pool/jacuzzi and a bar with refreshments. If the cruising floor or the pool area are not sufficient, the entrance floor is also an area where it is possible to relax in a well lighted floor and relax with a potential rent boy. We all like different things. I like Brazil and go there often (I recently completed my 119th trip to Brazil). However, lately, Brazil has been sporadically disappointing. Despite the occasional disappointment, I will be returning to Brazil next month. On the other hand, the only time I found the Barcelona thermas disappointing was last week on a rainy day/night. I am happy that we have a choice of places to visit that offer so many choices. -
  13. As to "good" hotels near the sauna, it depends on what you consider good. My initial visits to Barcelona were with friends. They chose to stay at the Expo Hotel in Barcelona. This is a decent hotel with fairly inexpensive large rooms. It is close to many sites and especially close to the sauna. It is possible to walk to the sauna in about ten minutes from the Expo Hotel. As I said, it is a decent hotel but it is not luxurious, by any means. I traveled alone during my last several trips to Barcelona. Therefore, I decided to try various hotels. The last hotel I tried was the new Crown Plaza Hotel in Barcelona which is ten minutes walk to the sauna. Being a new hotel (with huge rooms) makes for pleasant surroundings. However, the hotel is not near any restaurants or walking sights but it is close to the sauna. Hilton Hotels bought an existing hotel in Barcelona earlier this year and renamed it Doubletree by Hilton. I will be trying that hotel on my next trip. That hotel is also about a ten minute walk to the sauna. Below is a link to a short review of the sauna found on a site - http://www.nighttours.com/barcelona/gayguide/thermas.html The link will also show some photos of the interior of the sauna, which is clean and nice looking. Bottom line? Where else (except in Brazilian saunas) can one find a collection of handsome and charming available men simple by exchanging a small sum of money? -
  14. There is no best day of the week to visit the sauna. Every day is a good day to visit, except during bad or rainy weather. Bad weather negatively influences sauna attendance. It appears that most (but not all) clients do not like getting wet in the rain. The effect of bad weather is that clients tend to stay away from the sauna. When there are fewer clients at the sauna, naturally, rent boys have fewer available clients, and the rent boys know this. Many do not bother to go to the sauna on rainy night because they know they might not snag a customer/client. By the way, unlike the situation at saunas in Brazil, rent boys pay the same entrance fee as paid by clients. This can get financially tough on some rent boys, particularly on rainy nights when they pay to enter the sauna and do not meet a client. When this happens, the "asking" price of the rent boy drops considerably. As to hours or times to visit, it is difficult to say. The sauna is open 24 hours. Consequently, depending on your personal likes and dislikes, you can usually find a rent boy at the sauna at any time. Traditionally, the best time to meet the supposed most desirable rent boys is between four in the afternoon and six thirty to seven o'clock in the evening. Despite these hours, there are many rent boys available outside of those hours. I did report that there is a large variation of available rent boys at the sauna. While most are Brazilian, Cuban and other Latino, many are "twinks" and most of the twinks are from Eastern Europe. -
  15. UPDATE: There was an old musical that had lyrics like - "The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain." Well, you guessed it. Today it rained in Barcelona, instead of in or on the plain. That means, it rained to a point that clients and rent boys pretty much stayed away from the sauna today and tonight. I was surprised and disappointed at the low turn out at the sauna. Nonetheless, there were a few beauties there but only a fraction of the quantity as there were last night. We win some and lose some - that is just the way life is. Despite the rain and resultant low attendance of clients and rent boys, I still think the sauna is a great escape which we do not find in many cities in the world. Like I said previously, try it, you'll like it (except on a rainy night). -
  16. I returned to Barcelona, Spain, and visited Sauna Thermas again. Even though I was pleased during my prior visits, the place, last night, was better than I ever found it. The selection of rent boys is beyond description. The ratio of clients to rent boys was about four to one last night. When I return today, the ratio might be different but I suspect the turn out to be good. With a few exceptions, there was a larger ratio of exceptionally good looking rent boys than usual. Even though, last night, most of the rent boys were Brazilian and Cuba and Colombian, many were from Eastern Europe. Therefore, at Sauna Thermas, there is something to please just about anyone. Even though I tuly enjoy the Brazilian saunas and their offerings, there is no doubt that Barcelona is better, in many ways. For those who have given up on Brazil, at this sauna you will find dozens of Brazilian rent boys. The prices at Sauna Thermas for an evening, including a visit with a rent boy, are cheaper than in Brazil, factoring in entrance and facility costs and all. I previously reported that the sauna was remodeled a couple of years ago. Thus, the facilities are modern, clean and pleasant. Try it, you'll like it! -
  17. If you can believe this article, it is available on the internet: http://thesword.com/former-porn-star-and-noted-wife-beater-robert-van-damme-sentenced-to-9-years-for-armed-robbery-in-czech-republic.
  18. His "out" rate at $500 is a bit high, even for Manhattan. He is also advertising in, Doho, Qatar. The name he uses in his American ad, Andy Garcia, does not fit the local population of Qatar where the population is mainly Arab and where he uses only the first name of (Andy). It is my understanding that in the Arab world, gays are hated and are often imprisoned and/or killed when outed. Therefore, I cannot imagine why he would have such a prominent ad in such a country/area. Here is his ad for Qatar: http://www.rentboy.com/Listing.aspx?lid=328805&scid=82291794&sp=1&pos=7&locid=699&iid=171017 His Arabian ad says that he is based in Spain and Florida. Reading through his Arabian ad, his English is not good. In view of the above unusual issues, I find it difficult to determine whether his ads are genuine or bogus. -
  19. Here is a medley of photos of him that are a bit unusual (to say the least) http://menagerie-men.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-menagerie-presents-lance-alexander.html?zx=f48f8ca7888f01bf I found no advertisements featuring him as an escort. -

  23. I think Boink has it right - it is questionable if there are ANY hustler bars left in the USA. There actually is one left although I would never go there. It is called "Spotlight" in Hollywood, California. It is at the corner of Cahuenga and Selma. A friend I know still goes there to drink and visit with old friends from many years ago. My friend told me that many of the hustlers are in their forties or more and were hustling 20 years ago but never gave up the trade. He said most of the old hustlers drink heavily and take drugs and look dreadful but manage to beg drinks from the regular customers who have been frequenting the bar for decades. -
