  1. You are correct. It is "Leo," but I don't think it's a fake ad. I believe what we are seeing here is "Leo's" new account & name. He's made new accounts over the years and has changed names several times. We all know many masseurs do this after taking a break or if they have too many negative reviews, ha! I think it would be pretty ballsy to make a fake ad using photos of a masseur who works/worked in the same market.
  2. I don’t think the photos are real. The guy shown is an LA based Russian model. I just checked his instagram and he is currently in LA.
  3. I don’t necessarily believe that letting us know who the masseur is = emotional reaction. I think it’s a slippery slope to label it as such because one could argue that every review on here (positive & negative) is an emotional reaction to an experience. I.e. “I loved this masseur so I am going to write a review.” or “I had an awful experience with this person I hired, so I am going to let the community know”. Any negative review could potentially add stress and wreck a career. This forum is awesome because of the open and honest reviews and discussions. I do think that the word “outing” probably wasn’t the best term to use because it sounds vindictive, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with sharing an experience and letting others know who it is about. I honestly don’t care what the masseur is going through. Telling a client “I will remember you cancelling” shows that masseur’s true colors and I would never want to have someone I hire speak to me that way. It’s unprofessional and there are definitely other ways he could have handled the situation.
  4. Also wanted to add in that although there are average going rates for massages in each market, that doesn't mean it's the standard for everyone. When I see a masseur offering a massage for a little more than someone else, I don't assume it means that they offer more just because it's getting close to escorting rates. I assume that they are in high demand and have raised their rates so that they can make just as much, if not more, and give less massages. That should really be every masseur's goal..or really anyone's goal who offers any sort of a service where rates are flexible.
  5. I haven't received a massage from Alex in a while, but I've had a good amount of massages by him in the past. The massages were amazing and I always left very happy. He definitely exceeds all other expectations as a straight man serving the LGBTQ community. What more could you ask for? A lot of the masseurs some of us are used to are really just escorts who don't want to fully commit to it lol. Some are bi/gay men who like to have fun. Some are straight/bi/gay men who charge a premium for the fun. But then there are a ton of masseurs who are legitimate and offer amazing experiences whether they be therapeutic or erotic. The one thing we have to keep in mind is what they offer is totally up to them. What one offers shouldn't be an expectation for another masseur with regards to going beyond the original scope of a sensual massage. Never hurts to just discuss with the therapist beforehand if you're looking for something in particular. Alex has always been very calm and friendly. If you do find him cold, it could potentially just be a cultural thing. I never found him cold and we had a lot of great convos. I've come to accept over the years that if English isn't a masseurs first language, I don't really expect them to be super chatty. At the end of the day, we are paying them to give us a massage + whatever else they offer/you have discussed with them. Anything more than that shouldn't be expected unless you've developed some sort of rapport with the person and you have discussed it with them.
  6. Had a massage with George this past week. It was amazing! I almost forgot how different a really great therapeutic massage can feel if the person is trained and actually knows what he is doing. He is now part of my top 5 here in NYC. Other reviewers were correct when they stated that it's therapeutic only. I was a little worried about this because I've left frustrated in the past at a therapeutic massage. That being said, because I knew what I was walking into, I shifted my focus to just enjoying the great massage. I don't even think I got hard. If you're looking for a therapeutic massage, you should definitely check him out. Based on a few anecdotal experiences I have had with therapeutic only massages over the last 10 years, I never really feel that any of the masseurs on any of those sites are "strictly therapeutic". If it says that, I won't ask, hint for, or expect anything sensual/erotic but there is something inherently sensual about the entire experience. I've found that sometimes they may not do anything the first 2-3 times, but after they realize that you may potentially be a long time client of theirs, they may end up surprising you. If you're rock hard every session, they will know that you want that HE. They may open up more and add that to the experience if they want. That being said, I do know of someone people having experiences where they couldn't get someone to budge on that for years.
  7. Ive heard he is all over the place with regards to how the massage ends and can be mean about it if you try to discuss it with him. When I booked a massage with him, I unfortunately (just because I don't like to ask) asked him straight up what the massage entails because I don't want to pay someone the same rate as I would someone else for not that great of an experience. Anyway, he comes off as very masculine in his pictures, but he was super quiet and just a little too gentle for my liking. I don't want the masseurs to talk to me that much but seemed more like a transaction. He is very very nice, but I wouldn't see him again.
  8. Met with Jorge today at Shangrila. Also my first time going to a male spa here in NYC. My god... what have I been missing all of these years?! Hands down one of the best massages I’ve received in NYC.
  9. Everything I have been there, there has been fun going on. Yeah there is someone walking up and down the halls, but I mean I don't think they really do anything. Based on my experiences there, it seems like what it would be like to be in a sauna and steam room at a gym, but in this particular case, I think most people there are for fun and the people who aren't there for fun just ignore it or go to a different room. I didn't get a massage. I don't find the therapists attractive and they are always trying to offer you one, so they come off as pushy.
  10. You get a bit of everything. I think because its guaranteed fun which is rare in NYC, you get a very diverse mix of people. Something for everyone there. The mix of people sort of reminds me of the bathhouses in Montreal.
  11. Agreed. Several years ago, I was in between jobs and had a ton of free time to check out the scene at Equinox. I found that 1. Things always happened at Columbus Circle all throughout the day but slows down during rush hour. 2. Nothing really happens during rush hour at most of the gyms because of what sniper mentioned. Even if 80% of the guys are ready to go, it only takes 1 or 2 people not interested to mess things up. Just go to the Russian & Turkish Bath House on Sunday mornings during the men only hours for guaranteed fun.
  12. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted, but I saw this thread and figured I’d share my experience. Quick note: If you are thinking about booking with him, I would go ahead and do so this week because he moves to California on Thursday. He’s real and does look exactly like his pictures. Rate is what was mentioned above for the full combo. Massage is good, and he definitely knows what he’s doing. However, he asked for a picture of me during our first convo. Didn’t like that. When I arrived, I could tell that there was some sexual chemistry. That’s all fine but it started to get a little uncomfortable (message me for more details if you’d like). Finally, I cut the massage a little short for that reason.
  13. Woops! I meant to write a review earlier, but totally forgot. I met with Arsenity a few weeks back despite the negative review here. While he is not the most experienced massuer you'll meet on any of those sites, he definitely knew what he was doing/or at least knew enough for me to feel totally relaxed the entire time. It was a very pleasant experience. I agree with N13...7/10 is accurate. He looks just like his pics, and the extras were amazing. I will definitely see him again, but I just wanted to share my experience as well. The ONLY thing I didn't like about the massage was that he used some sort of a baby oil. Luckily I was home and could wash it off right away, but heavy oils like that can be a little gross if you can't shower and have to throw your clothes back on. I will add this.....I mentioned finding him on masseurfinder (tried to trick him lol) and he said he has never used that site. I also had him send me two finger selfies to prove it was him because I didn't want to deal with someone else showing up to my apartment. All checked out.
  14. Oh, and I hired him because 8 years ago he was really cute. He used the below pics in his ad, but he was slightly heavier when he showed up. Still cute though. 46d190dfa31db.jpg https://www.queerty.com/photos-jonesing-for-patrick-20100204 http://kaidutility.com/content/artisans/patrick_jones.jpg
