  1. I am happy and surprised to read that Lula will accept Brazil's House recommendation to drop the requirement for Americans, Canadians and Australians to have a visa to visit Brazil. April 10, 2024 is supposed to be the date for Americans, Canadians and Australians to have a visa to enter Brazil. Lula reluctantly is supposed to accept Brazil's House recommendation to drop the visa requirement that would have caused a lot of financial damage to the country if the law was fully enacted. Again, Lula has not yet officially accepted the House recommendation to drop the visa requirement. Here is an article if anyone is interested, however, this article disagrees with the article of today in Brazil's local news which is below, in Portuguese. Lula to drop visa requirements for U.S. citizens BRAZILIAN.REPORT The Brazilian government is giving up on imposing visa requirements for tourists from the U.S., Canada, and Australia. ____________________________________________ For those who can read Portuguese, here is an article that appeared last night and again today on CNN Brazil. As one can read, the CNN article does not agree with the American interpretation of what Lula will do. I will interprete one paragraph from the current CNN Brazil presentation that shows that the visa is not officially cancelled: According to Alencar, the idea is for the decree to be signed next week. So far, however, the government has not made any indication that this will actually happen. Governo evita derrota e deve estender isenção de vistos para turistas dos EUA, Canadá e Austrália WWW.CNNBRASIL.COM.BR Apresentação obrigatória do documento deve ser retomada a partir de abril de 2025
  2. Do not forget to furnish the consulate with the required copy of your bank account statement along with the account number and the bank used. Be sure the bank statement shows your address and the deposits and transfers you made plus checks you wrote during the period of the bank statement you send to Brazil to get the visa. That way, identify theft will be easier for anyone who gets access to your personal and private financial information.
  3. That is correct except after 2014, I visited only about 5 to 7 times each year. My schedule changed year to year. To date, I have visited Brazil 201 times. I was in Brazil in February of this year. However, considering the issues surrounding the new requirement for a visa for Americans, Canadians and Australians, together with the major intrusive personal finanancial data Brazil wants in order to get the visa, I will likely not be returning to Brazil until the visa requirements are deleted or if I can get a regular tourist visa from the embassy consulate without furnishing financial data. In the meantime, I don't mind visiting somewhere other than Brazil because of the increased major crime in Brazil. Coincidently, last week, one of my close friends visiting Rio was mugged and lost his phone and money to teenagers on bicycles. Brazil used to be such a fun place to visit. It is still fun but you have to be extremely careful if you are walking on the streets. Incidently, if you are looking for cities that have similar saunas that are found in many cities in Brazil, you can visit Zurich and/or Barcelona. The sauna in those cities are very similar to what is found in Brazil.
  4. Sorry for the late response to your question. I did not see your post until now. YOU - "when you say it’s changed for the worse in the last 10 years does that mean that you haven’t been back since 2014?" No, I did not mean that. I visited Brazil seven to ten time each year since 2003. No, I did not stay away from Brazil since 2014. What I wanted to say was that during the past ten years, my visits to Brazil got less and less safe each trip. Ten years back, during the day, one could walk the sidewalks (streets) in Rio and not have a problem or worry of getting mugged. It is no longer safe to walk the streets near 202 and down to the beach area. Maybe you will not be bothered but statistics say otherwise for many people.
  5. I hope not ! Somehow, he convinced rentmen to remove most of the terrible reviews his previous clients made about him. He also changed his ad name. This latest stunt causes me to rely on rentmen a lot less than I did before I saw the narratives and bad reviews removed with the new ad and the name change. Buyer beware. This is a bad guy. Also, one of the reviewers said that he is Spanish. He is Brazilian.
  6. Uh, oh. His secret is out!

  12. Agree about the country. Zurick, is a beautiful city but expensive, except for the escorts, about one hundred dollars. That includes a free room within Paragonya. But the free rooms in that sauna are not nice. You are better off to pay for an ungraded room in the sauna for about ten to fifteen dollars depending on which type room you choose. You will like Paragonya. Supper clean. Many clients do not wear shoes because the floor is so clean and maintained often. You can wear shoes if you want. Unless you already have a hotel selected, you might want to look into the semi gay hotel about one block from Paragonay, Hotel Scheuble - https://www.hotels.com/ho129150/hotel-scheuble-zurich-switzerland The hotel was remodeled a few years ago, therefore, it is fairly modern and attractive. Try to avoid a hotel on the other side of the river. Taxis are expensive and hard to find at night. Using Uber is complicated compared to using Uber in other cities. In short, staying at Hotel Scheuble is a good choice because it is only about one block or less from Paragonya. If you stay at Hotel Scheuble, you will not have to use a taxi to the part of Zurich across from "old town" where Paragonya and Scheuble are located. Also, there are some excellent restaurants around Paragonya and Hotel Scheuble. Other people will suggest other hotels and places. By the way, Zurich is very safe. You will not get mugged or even threatened like you experienced in Rio. Until Brazil reverses the silly visa rule, you might consider Zurich as a replacement for Brazil except for in the winter when it is cold and snowing. Zurich is much safer with many of the same Brazilians you see in the Brazilian saunas.
  13. You should consider Zurich, Switzerland = sauna Paragonya. It is similar to the saunas you find in Brazil. The funny thing about Paragonya is that of the rent-boy providers available, at least one-third are Brazilian. I do not know of any saunas in Bangkok.
  14. YOUR PERSONAL REPORT IS READY 78 Active Threats Found HIGH RISK Harmful Sites 63 Expand HIGH RISK Data Leaks 14 Expand HIGH RISK Harmful Apps 1 Expand MEDIUM RISK Unwanted Popups Expand UP TO DATE System Health Expand ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I attempted to try again to obtain the "VISA" that Brazil requires beginning April 10th of this year. After I answered all questions and demands shown on Brazil's visa computer system, a screen popped up (shown above in opening of this thread) and told me that my data is at high risk of being compromised. In my case, the site said that 78 "active threats" were found with my informaton (see opening display in the beginning of this thread). With this Brazil visa application, we are required to furnish an enormous amount of personal data including a copy of our bank account. Obviously, with "78" "active threats" in my Brazil visa application, I will not proceed with getting the visa. In reality, one has to wonder about the mental capacity of those lawmakers in Brazil who require critically private personal information from tourists who come to Brazil to bring tourist money and to help the economy of Brazil. It is no secret that Brazil is hurting financially and that the unemployment rate there is high. Forcing tourists, who spend thousands of tourist dollars while touring Brazil, to divulge their private details to a flawed open computer system will keep countless tourists away because the tourists cannot visit Brazil without making themselves vulnerable to identification theft solely based on the private personal and financial data demanded by Brazil to obtain the visa. Until those intrusive questions and requirements are removed from the visa requirement, I will not be getting a Brazil visa. I believe that any person who ignores "78 active threats (as in my own personal case reported to me by the Brazilian tourist computer) has no one to blame but themselves if they get their identification hacked. Do not forget, Brazil requires personal private information (plus a copy of the applicant's bank account) merely to take a trip to Brazil. Complying with such requirements is an open invitation for potential problems for tourists. Sadly, my numerous and enjoyable prior trips to Brazil have now come to an end unless the dangerous new rules are removed as a requirement to visit Brazil.

  16. Abolutely true about Rio, despite those who love to ignore reality.
  17. I wasted too many hours trying to get the required "new" "i" visa that has changed various effective dates three times. The changed effective dates were due to the lack of preparedness of the Brazilian computer system that was suppose to make issuing a visa quick and almost automatic. Constant (i) visa computer data freezes, constant rejection of submitted requested documents and many other problems prevented me (plus thousands of other applicants) From obtaining the newly required visa for Americans, Canadians and Australians. i even resorted to using one of the so-called professional "i"visa companies for help and payment. Those companies did not know anymore about the new Brazilian program than I did. I never got a visa even though I was charged by them anyway. Now that I am back in Brazil, there is no denying that Brazil has negatively changed over the last ten or more years. But, Brazil is still a fun place to visit. However, each time I return, I notice more negative changes. The worst part of the changes is that Rio has become a very dangerous place. If it were not for Uber getting us from one place to another safely, robberies and other crimes would likely be higher than they already are, considering the increased crime over the past decade. On the bright side, the replaced Lagoa is still attracting many garotos. Not like in the olden days but at least there is a sauna in Sao Paulo. The sauna that was supposed to replace the old Fragata is a sad joke, After nearly two years after Fragata closed, the replacemen 555 (new name and location) is still nearly vacant of garotos and clients. If Lagoa is any good tomorrow, hopefully I will have some good news. Sorry to be negative but let us tell it like it is.
  18. No one mentioned one issue with rentmen and texting and phone calls. To have a client's review accepted and printed in the provider's ad, if a client cannot "prove" that they "met" the provider, and by "proof" rentmen wants to see some communication on the rentmen site that the provider and client actually communicated with one another. For rentmen's reasons, a client's review will not be accepted by rentmen unless there is some communication on the rentmen site between the provider and the client. I recently had a conversation with a rentmen exec in Germany about another issue. The exec admitted that the communication requirement on rentmen is not "fool proof" that the provider and client met but there is another reason (too long to go into now) that makes rentmen require at least one "back and forth" chat on the rentmen site between the provider and client. So, unless you do not plan to write a review or if the provider does not care about reviews, rentmen communication is not important. If you or the provider want a review, at least start the communication with a rentmen chat of sorts. Then you can switch to text or another form of communication. I know for a fact that when a provider has a huge number of positive reviews, clients are more likely to hire the provider that has many positive reviews versus a provider with zero or only one or two reviews.
  19. Despite what you wrote above, too many providers still accept a client knowing they are tired or cannot perform well. Nonetheless, the provider expects money even though the provider is having a bad day and the provider knows that the meeting will likely end up disappointing for the client. Regardless, the provider accepts or demands full payment for rotten service received by the client. No question, escorting is not the same as buying a product from a store or reputable company. In many cases, escorting has gotten out of hand, pricewise and non delivery as agreed. Most providers now want payment up front because the provider knows he likely cannot deliver as agreed with the client. It is a shame that the rentmen reviews narratives are blocked to U.S. users. Reading the narratives tells you a lot about many providers that do not care whether the client is treated fairly. However, there is a way to read the rentmen narratives even though the narratives are usually blocked to U.S. readers. Reading the narratives is helpful as a guide to the likihood of compatibility. Several months ago I posted a link that will allow Americans to access rentmen narratives as though the clients' computer was in Europe. That way, the rentmen narratives are not blocked. Read the narratives on providers of interest. Sometimes you get a big surprise by reading the narrratives. To simplify accessing the rentmen narrative bypass, here is the link again: hide.me/en/proxy When the link opens, copy the providers' review page link in the space asked for in the hide.me link shown above. Happy reading.
  20. Good days or bad days, the provider still expects to be paid. Not a pretty picture when you have to pay for nothing.
