If it's an outcall to me then do a quick shower right when the hour is up and then get dressed and head out as I'm also gladly paying for his uber/lyft back to their hotel or to the next client. Just like any other job, there's set up time you don't get paid for in order to get ready to work. I essentially paid $50 for him to shower and get ready to go. I agree with you up to a point. I think that the escort could have just said "I apologize for not replying back to your texts, but I've been having trouble with a high number of strange communications the past few days and I am currently not using texting. Would you like to set up a meet? I can communicate via email" to get the point across without going into venting. Venting about other clients or issues with booking other clients is a big faux pas if the escort is actually talking to a serious client. Most clients don't want to hear about other clients. But I can appreciate the honesty. And his venting was in a respectful manner. I think in this situation it's just poor communication skills on both the client and escort lol.

You got a point, but I don't think learning about each other personally is a downside (unless the escort is a hot mess in his personal life or if the client starts developing romantic feelings) and like everything, it varies client to client. Escorting is about connections after all - a lot of just want the sexual connection but there's also the whole "boyfriend experience" that a lot of us hire for both sex and emotional connection with another person as well. I think at some point in having a regular you're going to end up having to talk about your real life after a period of time, you can only shoot the shit and talk about mundane stuff for so long before it gets even more mechanical.

@KeepItReal I had a bad situation with a regular who became extremely entitled. We started off great and then he would ask for money in advance to help pay for bills, etc as he stopped advertising and would put it towards our future time and then unfortunately he took advantage of me and I got burned. It was a very expensive lesson learned for me - at the end of the day, we can enjoy each other's company all we want but it's still a business transaction.
