  1. Wish I was able to attend the gathering this year. I missed out last year as I was out of the country and this year there were too many conflicts. Have wonderful time all!
  2. I remember someone called nyobserver (I think) used to post the line-up at the Gaiety on Mondays, along with comments about the dancers. It helped me decide if I would travel to the city for the weekend. Happy memories from that place.
  3. The series is already out on Prime, I watched all of the episodes available. The boys only escort for women; there is a fair amount of male nudity, if you like that sort of thing. I found the story and characters engaging and entertaining.
  4. I watched all of the episodes. Tore was completely unlikable. The only character I thought was a bit likeable was the nurse/florist.
  5. I have Apple Car Play in my car and I often use Siri to make calls or respond to text messages. I have one contact that I have used the same way of asking Siri to call for several years. (It's a sub-listing under another header.) Then, after an IOS software update, Siri said that person was not in my contact list and couldn't make the call. Nothing had changed in my contact list and the person was listed exactly the same way. I then tried a shortened version of the listing and it called someone who I don't even know and is not in my contact list. I then said "F*** You Siri" and Siri responded "That's not very nice", which provided for a good laugh.
  6. I saw it in July - enjoyed it. A bit hokey - but that was the point, wasn't it? I wish I could remember some of the "corny" jokes, at times they came so fast I couldn't keep up. Alex Newell was terrific!
  7. I quite enjoyed this series. It's hard to believe the overall nuttiness of some of the other jurors didn't betray that it was all fake. Ronald seemed like a truly nice guy, trying to do the right thing, which also made him very attractive.
  8. Finally saw this movie; interviews with the director indicated he was looking to make a rom-com, and I think he succeeded. I enjoyed it for what it was, a romantic story with two very attractive leads. Taylor Zakhar Perez was widely reported at the time to be wearing a prosthetic penis in his Minx Season 1 role.
  9. Excellent advice jawjateck! Sadly, I won't be able to make it this year; I committed to a trip out of the country, before I realized the conflict. I hope everyone has a great and memorable time😎
  10. I agree - it's a very enjoyable show and Natasha Lyonne is great as Charlie. If you liked her in Russian Doll, you should like this. As mentioned, it's like Columbo in format perhaps with a touch of The Fugitive and Murder She Wrote. The episodes I watched, however, ranged from 48 minutes to an hour long.

    Bros (2022)

FYI - "Bros" started streaming today on Peacock. I haven't watched it yet, but intend to.
  12. I always wear the classic two-piece pajamas, I have many pairs, with short bottoms for summer. I tried sleeping naked and it was not for me. They are easy to buy online.
  13. Well, now its there, but for some reason the tab was hidden for me before. Thanks for the response.
  14. So I am signed in, the third tab says "Discover". I used to see a tab for reviews, but no longer do. Did I miss something?
  15. So sad to hear this - I only knew him from the few PS gatherings I was able to attend, but I chatted with him each time. I will miss seeing his Dying Gaul avatar as I was always interested in what he had to say even if the comment was "curmudgeonly". He was full of information and certainly had an eye for pointing out new talent.
  16. I watched it as well last evening - it's long, nearly three hours. I didn't know a lot about Marilyn Monroe, so I wasn't entirely sure what was fact and what was fiction. I also found some of what I will term the "artsy-fartsy" visual effects annoying, in particular, the threesome scene in which it seemed like viewer was sent on acid trip and totally obscured what should have been beautiful bodies in various forms of coupling. I too had a hard time understanding the NC-17 rating since the potential scenes that might merit it were more like flashes where if you blinked, you'd miss it. I also thought the floating fetus pregnancy/abortion scenes were overdone. That said, I appreciated Ana de Armas' commitment to her performance and didn't regret watching the movie.
  17. I watched the first episode of this series on streaming and found the initial brothel scene appeared like they were shooting through a fog machine. I couldn't even make out who the characters were. I re-watched that part on another TV, also streaming, it was also obscured, despite my best efforts to adjust TV settings. I then watched the entire episode again through my cable box when it was rebroadcast - it was as clear as could be. Just a personal observation, but I've only noticed that difference on this show, since I often watch shows on one or the other, depending on my schedule.
  18. I am about half-way through Season 2 of Merli Sapere Aude. Really like this show and and find the philosophy classes actually quite thought provoking. Having seen Maria Pujalte, as the lawyer in Toy Boy and now as the alcoholic teacher makes me want to see more from her. And course, Carlos Cuevas alone makes it worth watching. He is also in the show Leonardo which is currently being broadcast on the CW network. I just wish we had access to an English-captioned version of the original Merli.
  19. I just finished Season 2 of Industry - less explicit (especially for the men) than Season 1, more girl-on-girl action, but also a romance between two male characters. It also had one of the best lines I've heard in a long time: "Sadly my looks have declined to the point that only women will sleep with me", spoken by the character Jesse Bloom.
  20. One of the beauties of the Forums is you only have to read things that you think might be interesting. The rest you can ignore.
  21. I watched every episode of The Anarchists. I don't think any of them subscribed to a common understanding of what being an anarchist meant or what a life fully free of rules entailed. Most of them came across as very broken people and Jeff Berwick, the "leader" of the anarchy conferences in Acapulco was a complete tool, from his always flipped-up collar on his polo shirts and designer sunglasses, to his totally incomprehensible speeches at the conferences.
  22. A few years back I used my personal cell phone with a somewhat infamous escort, known for being a bit flaky, but good if you actually meet up with him. Later, I got a friend request from him on Facebook, using his actual name which he had mentioned to me. I didn't realize FB had the ability to look up a person using only their cell phone number- a feature which I quickly disabled on my account. After that I used the burner app for the same reasons MikeBiDude listed above.
  23. Sad to hear this news. I met her at a Chicago get-together and we hit it off right away. 48 is way too young.
  24. I agree. I loved Lenk in "A Band's Visit", she was perfect. But I didn't love her in "Company" even though it was enjoyable.
  25. The camera angle has nothing to do with it!
